Instructor Bio

Stacy is now living her own best "Second Story" by returning to her creative passions and innate talents as a fine artist, mentor, and creativity coach.

Stacy Butchart is an experienced marketing communications leader with an extensive background in marketing and corporate positioning, brand strategy, creative direction and design, and the creation of comprehensive marketing and communications programs. Her previous roles include creative director and art director positions in creative agencies up and down the west coast, brand manager positions in the high-tech industry, and as the director of brand and marketing strategy for a Pacific Northwest health care conglomerate. Stacy has a BFA from the Academy of Art University and a master’s degree in strategic communication from the University of Oregon School of Journalism.

In addition, Stacy has dedicated her time for nonprofits and human services organizations, such as Mercy Corps, Transitions, Meals on Wheels, and Girls Inc of the Pacific NW, where she served as a board member and fund development board lead.

In her spare time, she enjoys the performing and fine arts, painting, playing music and singing, and all kinds of activities in the great outdoors.
